Scintillation Resource Selector
This tool is designed to narrow down the available resources through a series of application details. By using the filters the many documents on this website and the products offered will be reduced to the most obvious.
This should be used as a guide as there are many aspects to consider when choosing a scintillator and product packaging. The final selection for your specific application should be discussed with your sales representative.
Criteria
GGG, SGGG and NGG are used to grow semiconductor crystal layers. This process is called epitaxy and is used in nanotechnology and in semiconductor fabrication.
Our patented eutectic bonding allows for complex sapphire shapes. This process allows for tube to tube, sheet to sheet and tube to sheet construction.
Single-crystal transparent sapphire in Flat sheets and Curved for optical and protective window systems
Sapphire lift pins provide high mechanical strength under high temperatures and chemically harsh environments.
Saint-Gobain offers a full range of Sapphire tubes, pins & rods to meet a wide variety of demanding applications.
The BC-440 family of scintillators provides the high-temperature characteristics of polystyrene-based scintillators without the diminished light yield associated with such formulas.
BC-408, BC-412 and BC-416 are plastic scintillators with the highest light output. These are also economical for use in large areas.
BC-400 and BC-404 plastic scintillators are largely used as thin sheets for alpha & beta detection. BC-404 can also be used in fast-counting applications.
BC-418, BC-420 and BC-422 are intended for use in ultra-fast timing and ultra-fast counting applications. BC-422Q is BC-422 quenched with various weight percentages of benzophenone to improve timing properties
